Mi Escuela Montessori Featured on Bay News 9!

In her book, To Educate the Human Potential, Dr. Maria Montessori said, "Let us give him (the child) a vision of the whole universe... If the idea of the universe be presented as it should, it will do more than merely kindle his interest, for it will create in him admiration and wonder, a feeling loftier than any interest and more satisfying."

At Mi Escuela Montessori, we take that literally. We’ve built a model that is a true mash-up of the independence of Montessori, the depth of language immersion, and the creative power of arts and tech. It’s about educating the whole child and giving them the tools to navigate a complex world.

The reality is that these types of innovative choices are often out of reach for families in less advantaged communities. We believe that shouldn't be the case.

Scaling a vision like this requires partners who "get it." We are incredibly grateful to Civic Builders Inc. and the Walton Family Foundation. They believed in us, and through the Facilities Investment Fund (FIF), they provided the bridge loan that gave us a home. And thank you, Building Hope, for connecting us with them!

Their support ensures that the zip code our students live in doesn't dictate the quality or creativity of the education they receive. By taking the facility financing challenge off our plate, they’ve allowed us to focus on the work that matters: empowering our kids.

Thank you, Lizbeth Gutierrezat Spectrum Bay News 9, for sharing with the community how we are expanding to provide families in Bartow and all over Polk County with innovative educational choice that meets the unique needs of our students.
