Mi Escuela Montessori Welcomes New Principal!

We'd like to welcome Dr. Raul Munoz Rodrigo, our new Principal! Dr. Munoz Rodrigo, a native of Madrid, Spain, has over thirteen years of teaching experience. He served as the Assistant Principal at St. Louis Language Immersion School for the past three years. He previously worked as a summer school principal, Spanish program liaison, and lead teacher, instructing students in first, second, fifth grade, and middle school. He was also a third-grade lead teacher and a counselor for middle school and high school in Madrid.
Dr. Munoz holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education, as well as a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University. He was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for outstanding student academic growth in Language Arts, Math, and Spanish in 2018.
Having taught in PYP and an IB school, he has held several leadership roles, including PBIS Coordinator, Athletic Director, and curriculum leader for Math and Social Studies. His school also featured his active promotion of cultural and academic events for the Spanish program.
Dr. Munoz Rodrigo is delighted to be a member of Mi Escuela Montessori, where he strives to allow students to reach their full potential by applying the Montessori approach and philosophy. His vision is to foster academic, social, and emotional growth while ensuring bilingualism, global citizenship, and a love of lifelong learning. His vocation fosters the autonomy, curiosity, and respect that children have for themselves, their community, and the world—giving them a strong foundation in both Spanish and English.
