Ways to Support Our School
The Future of Our Community
In Montessori classrooms across the world, future leaders are evolving, step by step. From left to right and top to bottom, preschool and Kindergarten children are using Montessori materials to explore and build their brains. Elementary students are building on that foundation and are exploring the big-picture stories that connect learning. They are developing curiosity, independence and motivation as they move from concrete learning to abstract understanding. In the adolescent learning communities, students are developing leadership and critical thinking skills through experiential learning. Every step of Montessori education relies on the steps that came before.
Mi Escuela Montessori is also evolving, step-by-step. Behind the scenes, we are establishing solid systems for supporting all children, especially the most vulnerable and educationally at risk students, in building the necessary foundation for future success. We're working to create a strategic plan, develop a facilities plan, and establish human resource policies that will ensure that teachers and staff feel supported and connected.
Our facilities plan includes a master plan for our entire campus. We will need to completely renovate several small existing buildings as well as a large main building, install a parking lot, design indoor and outdoor learning environments and furnish 12 Montessori classrooms with furniture, supplies and bilingual teaching materials.
Our strategic plan includes implementing the first dual language Montessori residency teacher training program in the nation, partnering with experienced national programs including the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector and the Diverse Charter Coalition, and learning from experts in inclusive Montessori programming and dual language learning.
We are now at an exciting stepping-off point for the first phase of launching our school, and you can be a partner in ensuring our success!
